Office Professional Applications Learning (OPAL)
We are excited to announce our new Office Professional Applications Learning (OPAL) service. This new service is a combined and enhanced version of Technology Support Service (TSS) and Office Automation (OA). OPAL offers planned training and continuous support for a district’s use of technology and related applications.
At the MHRIC, our goal is to support school districts in every way possible to improve their workflow. One thing that is ever constant is the advancement of technology. Just when you think you have learned all you need to know, some new program or update comes along that will help you with your day-to-day tasks.
Our job in the OPAL service is to offer training on all those products that district office personnel may use in their everyday duties. Classes in spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets), word processing (Word, Google Docs), databases (Access), presentations (PowerPoint, Google Slides), ADA compliance, Adobe products and many others are offered through this service. Districts can choose from a variety of classes held at the MHRIC or request special classes. Each district employee, Board Member or parent/guardian of a current student* is invited to come to any class free of charge with membership. Additionally, all OPAL districts are invited to attend our recurring Office Professional Institute (OPI) for a full day of training on at least 3 topics. The current list of OPAL districts is here.
[*Parents and guardians must obtain the current code from their student's district.]
