The service is designed to provide data security and privacy tools and resources alongside expertise
to support districts in the region to meet their data privacy and security challenges in compliance with
New York State's Education Law 2-d and Part 121 Regulations. A major benefit of this service is the
increased confidence of school boards, faculties, parents, and students in their district's ability to
protect their data. The RIC One Data Privacy and Security Service is a statewide initiative.  All twelve
RICs are working together to provide districts with resources and support.
