Division of Application Training

This division provides services to assist school districts in making informed choices on how technology can best be utilized and integrated in their districts. The Application Training Division offers valuable information, training, and support for a variety of technological solutions. Office Automation training and support serves as a basis for technology awareness and computer literacy for all district staff.

  • Access Control Security - Doorways and entrances to your school buildings can be securely protected by an access control system. Only those individuals with the appropriate badge clearance will be able to unlock the door and enter the building or designated building area.
  • Rapid Broadcast and Routine Calling Systems - These are automated phone messaging notification systems for emergencies, attendance, food service account balance management, and community outreach opportunities to parents, guardians, and staff members.
  • District Distributed Information Systems - DDIS provides assistance to districts with an in-house iSeries administrative system. This service enables the district to share programming support services helping the district meet its administrative technology requirements.
    The DDIS Service provides programming, technical, and training assistance to create automated extracts from the MHRIC-supported Student Management System, and upload this information on a daily basis to your calling system, Automated calling systems are chosen each year by RFP/bid process.
  • GroupWise Audit Service - This service will help make your GroupWise system more effective, responsive, and target your district's specific needs for electronic communication. The GroupWise Audit Service includes customized training and support for the planning, implementation, and deployment of GroupWise in your district.
  • GroupWise Support Service - GroupWise is a groupware package designed to provide quick and easy access to your electronic mail, calendaring, document management, and more. Phone, email, and Help Desk support is only a phone call away. For in-district support and training, please see the GroupWise Audit Service.
  • IP Video Security - This service links school security cameras with an Internet address, enabling districts to allow school administrators to real-time images of designated school campus areas as well as record and review incidents that occurred in the past. The system provides options for interior and exterior IP video surveillance of school district buildings and grounds.
  • Office Automation - The Office Automation Service is designed to help school district offices become more efficient and productive through better information flow, appropriate technology, related training, and support. Custom in-district training is included in this service.
  • RTIm Direct - This is a web-based system for tracking academic intervention services/response to intervention and offers the most comprehensive and easy to use Response to Intervention management software.
  • Survey Solutions - The MHRIC will help your staff produce great-looking powerful forms, published and hostedon our web site and our server. We will return the results of the survey to you in a formatted data report.
  • Technology Support Service - This service offers a basic level of support for the district's use of technology. Planning, support, and continuous training are the keys to the successful integration of technology. A wide variety of classes are offered through the MicroNews newsletter.
  • Web Development Service - Let the MHRIC create or redesign your web site. We can ensure that it will follow the New York State laws regarding web site accessibility.
  • WebSMARTT - WebSMARTT is a School Food Service Management System designed to provide school district Food Service departments' accurate data on all customer accounts, food items, and monies. Out Application Technical experts will plan, implement, and train your staff in the use of this system.
